During airsoft skirmishes snipers can play an important strategical role in the field. We've all seen films like Saving Private Ryan where the sniper in the tower keeps the enemy troops at bay picking them off one at a time. Cheap airsoft sniper rifles are much more expensive than airsoft automatics or pistols. Prices of airsoft sniper rifles start at around £150, but a decent sniper rifle will easily cost £500. You can buy a sniper rifle and then upgrade it later on when funds allow. Make sure you buy a metal barrelled rifle, and a good scope. A spring powered sniper rifle will need cocking between each shot
Also, a sniper rifle is not suited to skirmishes and close quarter combat, for obvious reasons.
